Bowdon Group Continues to Nurture Young Entrepreneurs

Altrincham-based Bowdon Group has pledged continued support to the Young Enterprise Company Programme by sponsoring three local schools, Loreto Grammar School, St Ambrose College and Wilmslow High School, encouraging students to develop and expand business skills by participating in entrepreneurial projects.
The Young Enterprise Company Programme provides young people with the experience required to develop entrepreneurial qualities that will be desirable for future employment. After previously standing as a guest judge for the Young Enterprise Company Programme, Bowdon Group CEO, Brian Benson, was inspired by the creativity and ambition of the students, leading him to undertake long term support of the programme.
Brian Benson, Chairman of Bowdon Group, commented: “We strongly believe in helping to develop the entrepreneurial skills of the business leaders of the future. As a local business, we feel it is our responsibility to share experience and support schools close to us, allowing students to thrive in their future development.”
As part of the initiative, the skills necessary for entrepreneurship and good business leadership are being taught in an educational environment, equipping students with essential life skills that will benefit them as the business leaders of the future. The Young Enterprise Programme encourages young people to embrace their entrepreneurial flare and ambition to succeed in the business world.
Speaking on behalf of Young Enterprise, Suzanne Lockwood, Area Manager, said: “We are very grateful for the support that has been offered to us from Bowdon Group. Encouraging entrepreneurship and promoting these skills from someone who has created such a successful business from a standing start is inspirational to these young people.”
